Kolpa has been consistently executing its investment plans in exploration, development and exploitation in order to progressively achieve its expansion, growth and consolidation objectives.

Through a strategic and planned mining exploration program, Kolpa is currently maximizing the exploitation of its main polymetallic deposits called “Bienaventurada”, “Elizabeth” and “Tatiana”. At the end of 2020, the total mineral production obtained from these deposits was 461,721 dry metric tons (TMS).

Our concentrator plant can treat and process about 455,000 MTD per year of ore to produce an average of 43,000 MTD per year of copper (Cu), lead (Pb) and zinc (Zn) concentrates. This is thanks to an installed production capacity of 1440 metric tons per day (MTD). Our final products have high quality standards and great commercial value in the market.

Under these principles, we emphasize our commitment to generate value and  produce positive multidimensional impacts in the long term for the benefit of society and our stakeholders. We are inspired to contribute significantly to the country by stimulating private investment, generating direct and indirect jobs and collaborating with tax collection.

Mineral sampling

Reserves and mineral resources

Kolpa closed 2020 with ore reserves exceeding 2.2 million TMS and mineral resources reaching 4.2 million TMS of polymetallic content. This volume is increasing periodically in line with the progress of our brownfield and greenfield exploration programs, which emphasize areas of great geological, technical and economical value identified and validated, which are close to the mining unit. The objective is to increase the portfolio of reserves and resources both in quantity and quality, aiming to reach, in the near future, a production capacity of 2,500 MTD. In line with the production increase, we are committed to the implementation of technological improvements with demanding operational and environmental standards, as well as adequate occupational health and safety management.
